How to Get a D-U-N-S Number

Register with Dun and Bradstreet. Be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Legal Entity Name
  • The operation for which the number is being requested
    • Power Generation 4911 9902
    • Transmission Provider (Inter- or Intrastate) 4911 9903
    • Power Marketing (brokering) 4911 9904
  • For each distinct operation above:
    • The unique tradestyle name (eg. UtiltyCo Power Marketing Division) that the operation is known by
    • The name of the operation's manager
    • A unique phone number for each operation (may be the manager's direct line)
    • Physical and mailing address
    • Relationship to other organizations (headquarter's name and location)
    • Name and title of caller
